The Orange Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary provides
non-firefighting support to the department, including
fundraising, social functions and/or rehab. We were
formed in 1995, and currently have 25 members. Meetings
are held nine times per year at Station 1. One of those
meetings is our Annual Dinner meeting, held at the
restaurant of our choice. Meetings are held the third
Monday of the month starting at 7:30 PM. Afterwards, we
enjoy coffee and dessert.
Most of what we do is fundraising. We have 5 major
fundraisers: February is our Pancake Supper held at
Chip's Restaurant; June is
the Pancake Breakfast, we have a pie sale at the
carnival, and December is our Holiday Bake Sale at Treat
Farm and also Santa's Helper. We occasionally bake or
host an event for the Fire Department such as the
Memorial Day Parade.
If you are interested in joining the Auxiliary, please
feel free to come to any meeting. You will be able to
see what we are all about so you can decide if this is
something you would like to do. We also value your
input. Should you decide to join, annual dues are $5.00
and there is a $5.00 application fee made payable to
OVFD Aux. I will also be happy to email an application
to you.
We look forward to seeing you.
